Learn Simple Mindfulness Meditation every Saturday in February
De-stress, improve your health, happiness, cognitive skills and interpersonal skills. This course is a practical introduction to meditation and mindulness. It is designed for those new to meditation or for meditators who wish to establish a regular meditation practice. In each weekly session, you will be guided through a range of meditations to help you discover and develop a practice that works for you. There will be tips and general guidance on posture and timings to help maintain a sustainable practice. You will receive comprehensive handouts, a course manual and weekly home exercises to consolidate the training. Meditation is a simple and effective means of bringing some peace and space in our busy lives and can increase awareness, clarity of thought and energy for living life to the full. There is no religion or belief system to adopt and we sit in chairs with no strange positions.

Week 3 - Responding vs Reacting
Week 4 - Cultivating Compassion and the Way Forward
This course is suitable if you are:
• 18 years old or over
• A Beginner and never meditated or practised mindfulness before
• Just started meditating or practising mindfulness
Would like to refresh or deepen your existing practice
How long is each weekly class and what happens?
Each class is 2 hours long. There will be a guided meditations for a period. This will include meditation instruction. After the meditation and instruction there will be a talk or discussion. This includes a question and answer time.
4 week Course - February 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th

Meditation is a safe and effective stress management tool. However, please seek advice from your GP if you have suffered or do suffer from epilepsy, severe depression, schizophrenia, severe anxiety, or psychosis or are on medication, or under supervision by the mental health team. Any contra-indications will need consent from you GP.
